Why Liverpool Supporters Club Durham Region?
The Liverpool Supporters Club Durham Region started years ago in an Oshawa basement by a handful of supporters. In the summer of 2007 a sign up sheet was left at The CourtYard Restaurant to form an official Liverpool Supporters Club. The club held it's first meeting and was officially formed in February 2008 by 36 founding members, where we elected a board of directors as well as hammered out a constitution. Our members also hail from other football clubs but share one common interest...footie... We meet on match days to support Liverpool FC matches in a friendly atmosphere with our friends and supporters from other clubs and countries.
In 2013, our club received official status from Liverpool Football Club (LFC) and we became the Official Liverpool Supporters Club-Durham Region (“OLSC Durham Region”)
OLSC Durham Region makes it's home at The CourtYard Restaurant in Courtice, Ontario. It offers a clean and friendly pub with great food (curry included), 17 taps on hand to dispense your favourite brew as well as numerous TV's throughout the pub to watch our mighty Red's. When the weather permits you can also watch the match on the licensed patio. The Courtyard opens the doors at 7am for all our early games and serves a full breakfast.
OLSC Durham Region is open to all our friends and supporters of other clubs in the Premiership as well as other countries. From our thirty-six founding members in February 2008 we have grown to over one hundred and sixty nine members to date and we are still growing.
Our annual $20.00 membership fee to join OLSC Durham Region membership goes to sponsoring local children's soccer teams, supporting local charities, purchase pay per view matches, half time draws for members (LFC merchandise) at most games, hosting our web site and other administrative costs.
You will also receive a Liverpool Supporters Club Durham Region membership card which will entitle you to a 10% discounts on all food purchases at The CourtYard Restaurant seven (7) days a week not just game day.
